1/35 88mm FlaK 36/37 (2 in 1)

The 88mm FlaK 36/37 is one of the most famous and effective artillery weapons of World War II. It was originally developed as an anti-aircraft gun (FlaK = Flugabwehrkanone), but during the battles in North Africa and on the Eastern Front, its high muzzle velocity and penetration proved to be effective in destroying even heavy tanks. This versatility made it a feared weapon that influenced Allied tactics and the development of tank armour. The FlaK 36 was the first production version of this caliber, the FlaK 37 brought an improved sighting system and minor design modifications for easier production and maintenance. Both types served throughout the war in the anti-aircraft defence of cities, industrial sites and military installations, as well as in ground combat as anti-tank weapons or infantry support.

The 1:35 scale Dragon kit offers the possibility to build one of two variants - FlaK 36 or FlaK 37 - of your choice. Thanks to the detailed workmanship, you can faithfully reproduce the characteristic elements of the airframe, elevation and directional adjustment mechanism, crew shield, ammunition carriage or transport wheels. The 1:35 scale is ideal for combining with crew figures (usually 5-7 men), vehicles or dioramas depicting an anti-aircraft battery, defensive position or field position. The model is suitable for both stand-alone display and as part of a larger scene.

For colouring, dark grey (Panzergrau) or dunkelgelb (dark yellow) is usually used depending on the period and unit. Highlighting wear and tear on frequently used parts (controls, stairs, stshield), operational soiling and possibly masking or field modifications according to the chosen situation. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
