The Fairey Swordfish Mk.I was a British deck torpedo bomber that became a legend of the Fleet Air Arm during World War II. Although its biplane design and canvas covering looked dated by the time it was deployed, the Swordfish demonstrated exceptional durability, versatility and reliability in the most demanding conditions. She took part in a number of key operations, including the attack on the Italian fleet at Taranto (1940), the pursuit of the battleship Bismarck (1941) and the escort of Arctic convoys. For modellers, the Swordfish is an iconic type with a distinctive silhouette and rich history, whose cockpit, with its typical instrument layout and open cockpit, offers scope for detailed work.

The instrument panel by Yahu Models is a laser-cut detail designed specifically for the 1:32 scale Trumpeter kit. It replaces the standard plastic part and adds a significantly higher level of detail - sharply cut instrument frames, fine surface texture and a more accurate material thickness to scale. Thanks to laser technology, edges are clean and dimensions are precise, making installation and subsequent painting and highlighting of individual elements (wash, dry brushing, pigments) easier. The panel is suitable for modellers who want to highlight the interior of the Swordfish's open cockpit, where the instrument panel is clearly visible and forms an important part of the overall impression of the model.

Installation requires basic modelling skills - removing parts from the support frame, sanding edges if necessary, gluing to the original position and then painting according to the chosen colour scheme (typically a dark grey or black base with contrasting rims and dials). The add-on is compatible with Trumpeter kits and can be combined with other aftermarket parts (belts, ropes, photo stickers) for complex cockpit detailing.
