1/32 P-47 D late recommended for Trumpeter
Yahu Models 1/32 P-47 D late is a set of photo-etched dashboards for Trumpeter Republic P-47D Thunderbolt late kit in 1:32 scale. The parts are colored and ready for direct gluing (JustStick technology), which simplifies cockpit detailing without painting individual instruments. The kit contains no paint or glue.
The Republic P-47 Thunderbolt was one of the heaviest and most robust fighter aircraft deployed by the United States during World War II. The P-47D version, especially the late version, represented the pinnacle of the type's development - with a bubble canopy for betterbetter visibility, a more powerful Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engine, and the ability to carry a heavy load of bombs and missiles. The "Jug" (a nickname derived from the massive shape of the fuselage) proved itself as a bomber escort for long-rangeas well as in attacks on ground targets, where its armor and the firepower of its eight caliber machine guns .50 guns made the P-47 a formidable tool in support of ground troops. For modelers, the P-47D late is of interest because of its distinctive silhouette, its rich selection of color schemes (from the silver aircraft of the late War to invasion stripes and colorful personal markings on pilots) and a detailed cockpit that offers room for precision work.
The Yahu Models kit is designed to enhance the instrument panel in the Trumpeter 1:32 kit and uses photoetched parts technology with colour printing. The individual instruments, dials, levers and controls are printed directly onto the metal carrier, eliminating the need for the need to hand-paint small details - just separate the parts, bend them as required and glue them in place. JustStick technology means that the back of the parts are self-adhesive coated, speeding up assembly and reducing the risk of damage to fragile parts when handling the liquid adhesive. The result is a realistic-looking cockpit with legible instruments and accurate colour reproduction that matches historical models and period photographs.
The kit is designed specifically for Trumpeter kits and respects the shape and dimensions of the original plastic parts, so installation does not require modifications to the basic structure. Suitable for advanced modellers who want to achieve a higher level of detail without complex masking and painting of miniature surfaces. The package does not include the paint or glue needed to assemble the basic kit.
