1/32 Macchi MC.202 recommended for Italeri
Yahu Models 1/32 Macchi MC.202 is a set of photo-etched dashboards for Italeri 1:32 scale kits. The add-on replaces the plastic parts with a more detailed design with higher precision and plasticity. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Macchi MC.202 Folgore (Lightning) was an Italian fighter aircraft that was one of the best types deployed by Regia Aeronautica during World War II. It was built as an improved version of the previous MC.200 Saetta, the key change being the fitting of a more powerful German Daimler-Benz DB 601 engine, which greatly improved flight performance. The MC.202 featured a sleek aerodynamic shape, good handling and decent armament, which enabled it to compete with Allied fighters in the Mediterranean and North Africa. In practice, it proved to be a reliable and agile machine, although its armament remained weaker than that of its opponents.
The Yahu Models kit features photo-etched dashboards designed specifically for Italeri 1:32 scale kits. The photo-etched parts provide finer detail than standard plastic components - individual instruments have more accurate contours, depth and a more realistic appearance, which is particularly noticeable in the open cockpit. Installation requires careful cutting away from the support frame and gluing into the cockpit according to the kit manufacturer's instructions. The add-on is suitable for modelers who want to increase the level of detail without the need for scratchbuilding or extensive modifications.
