1/32 Ki-45 recommended for Zoukei Mura

The Kawasaki Ki-45 Kai "Toryu" (Dragon Slayer) was a two-seat heavy fighter aircraft of the Japanese ImperialAir Force, which proved itself in service primarily as a night fighter and attack aircraft against bombers. The development of the Ki-45 began in the second half of the 1930s in response to the need for a long-range escort and heavy fighter capable of operating in the harsh conditions of the Pacific battlefield. After initial problems with engines and armament, an improved Kai variant entered production, which proved to be an effective platform for defending Japanese airspace against American B-29 bombers. A crew consisting of a pilot and gunner/observer allowed for more effective coordination during night operations. The Kai Tei version was equipped with modified armament and improvements for night combat.
