1/32 Gladiator II recommended for ICM

The Gloster Gladiator Mk.II was the last biplane fighter aircraft of the British Royal Air Force to enter operational service. Although by the time of its deployment it already represented a transitional type between interwar and modern monoplanes, the Gladiator proved its worth in a number of conflicts - from the beginning of WW2 to the end of the war. World War II, the Norwegian campaign, the defence of Malta and the battles in the Mediterranean and North Africa. It offered good handling and reliability for pilots and ease of maintenance for ground personnel. From a modeller's point of view, the Gladiator is interesting for its classic biplane construction, its distinctive profile and the possibility of in a variety of camouflages to suit RAF units and foreign users.

Yahu Models' 1:32 scale photo-printed instrument panel is an additional detail designed to increase the accuracy and plasticity of the cockpit of ICM Gloster Gladiator Mk.II kits. The kit replaces the standard plastic part with a finely engraved metal panel with marked instruments, levers and controls that match the historic model. The photo-printed technology makes it possible to capture details in scale that would be too coarse or illegible with conventional injection-moulded plastic - dials, instrument rims, small lettering. After the application of colours and any highlighting (wash, dry brushing), a realistic look of a functional pilot's workplace is created.

Installation of the photo-printed panel requires careful separation of the parts from the support frame with fine toolsm (scalpel, tweezers), bending as directed and gluing with a suitable adhesive (cyanoacrylate or dispersion). It is advisable to study the instructions first and compare the parts with the plastic originals to see exactly where they belong. The panel can also be completed by painting - basic cockpit colour (typically Interior Grey Green for RAF), highlighting dials in black or dark grey, or small accents of silver or brass on metal parts. The result is a much more plastic and true-to-life view of the cockpit, which stands out especially on open-hood models or when photographing close-ups.

The kit is compatible with ICM Gloster Gladiator Mk.II 1:32 scale kits (UA UK series). The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
