1/32 Fi-156 Storch recommended for Hasegawa
Yahu Models 1/32 Fi-156 Storch is a photo-etched colour instrument panel for Hasegawa Fieseler Fi-156C 'Storch' kit in 1:32 scale. The parts are ready for immediate installation using JustStick (self-adhesive) technology. The add-on improves cockpit detail without the need for complicated gluing or painting of the instrument panel.
The Fi-156 Storch ("Stork") was one of the most successful Luftwaffe communication and observation aircraft during World War II. Its exceptional short take-off and landing (STOL) characteristics allowed it to operate from improvised areas, field airfieldsand mountain terrain, making it an ideal machine for front-line communications, reconnaissance, wounded evacuation and officer transport. The Storch became famous, among other things, for rescuing Mussolini from the Gran Sasso in 1943 and as the personal aircraft of field commanders including Rommel. After the war it continued to serve for many years in various countries, often in civilian service.
For modellers, the Fi-156 is an attractive model due to its distinctive appearance with long strut landing gear, large wing and glass cockpit revealing a detailed cockpit. It is the cockpit that is the key feature of this type - the large glazed area allows a glimpse inside and therefore the quality of the instrument panel greatly influences the overall impression of the model.
Yahu Models photo-etched set in 1:32 is designed specifically for Hasegawa kits and features a colour-printed instrument panel with realistic dials, levers and details that the plastic parts of the kit cannot fully capture. JustStick technology means that the parts have a self-adhesive layer - simply detach them from the backing and stick them to the appropriate place in the cockpit, without the need for glue or paint. The colour scheme saves time and ensures the exact instrument colours match the historic models.
Installation is straightforward: the photo-glued panel is inserted in place of the original plastic Hasegawa kit part, achieving a significantly higher level of detail and depth. The add-on is suitable for modelers who want to improve the cockpit's appearance without complicated hand-painting of small elements, while appreciating the speed and accuracy of the pre-painted parts. The result is a more realistic and visually convincing model, especially when viewed through the cockpit glazing.
