The Douglas A-20 Havoc (Soviet designation Boston) was an American light bomber and attack aircraft that was one of the most widely used machines of its category during World War II. The A-20G version was one of the most numerous variants and featured fixed nose armour with a battery of machine guns, making it an effective means of attacking ground targets, ships and lightly protected objects. The aircraft served in American, British, Soviet and other allied units and proved itself in Europe, the Pacific and the Mediterranean. The A-20 is of interest to modelers because of its distinctive shape, twin-engine configuration, and varied deployment history.

The add-on from Yahu Models is designed for Hong Kong Models 1:32 scale kits and features cockpit enhancements in the form of a resin instrument panel with printed details. Compared to the standard plastic component, it provides finer resolution of the individual instruments, dials and controls, greatly increasing the level of detail in the interior. Resin accessories require careful separation from the filler block, cleaning and bonding with a suitable adhesive (most commonly instant or epoxy). The "early" designation refers to early production runs of the A-20G version, which differed in minor details of cockpit and instrumentation layout.
