This model kit represents the iconic WWII American fighter plane, the P-51D Mustang, in 1/72 scale, from Eduard's prestigious Royal Class edition. The kit includes plastic parts for building two Mustang models: one in the D-5 version without the dorsal fin and another in the D-10 or later version with the dorsal fin. It offers a total of 14 different markings, including 12 for US Air Force aircraft and 2 for RAF Mustang Mk.IVA.
The high-quality plastic parts are manufactured by Eduard, ensuring excellent detail and ease of assembly. The kit includes colored photo-etched parts, masks, and resin components, such as two types of exhausts, main landing gear wheels, and two seats with seatbelts. The decals, also provided by Eduard, allow for the creation of detailed and authentic models with a realistic appearance.
Additionally, the kit comes with an 8th Air Force emblem and a gear bay plug (Omask), adding historical authenticity to the model. For optimal results, we recommend using canopy and wheel masks from ASK, available in the 'ASK Products/ASK Masks' category. Be sure to visit the 'Paints and Tools' category for suitable materials, as glue and paints are not included.
