P-51B/C Mustang Birdcage canopy 1/48
Brand: EDUARD

The North American P-51 Mustang was one of the most important fighter aircraft of World War II and had a major impact on the course of the air war over Europe. The P-51B and P-51C versions were the first truly high-performance variants of the Mustang, especially after the introduction of the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, which greatly improved high-altitude performance. These machines proved to be particularly useful to the USAAF as long-range escort fighters for bomber formations, where they contributed significantly to limiting Allied bomber losses. A distinctive feature of the early versions was the original "Birdcage" type cockpit overlay, which gave the aircraft a distinctive appearance different from later versions with a drop-cabin.

The Eduard 1/48 scale kit in Weekend edition is designed as an affordable variant focused on the model building itself without any etched, camouflage or resin accessories. It offers quality plastic parts with fine paneling, good melding and Eduard decals for four USAAF aircraft camouflage schemes. The model allows you to build an authentic P-51B/C with a "Birdcage" cockpit and is suitable for both less experienced modelers and those who prefer a clean build without complex detailing.

The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
