Known for its speed and low loss rate in experienced hands, the Marauder became one of the key machines of the Allied air forces. The B-26G version was modified for longer range and improved aerodynamics, making it an even more effective bomber. Aircraft of this type not only served in the US Air Force, but after the liberation of France were also included in the armament of the French Air Force, where they continued in operational service.
