1/72 Sd.Kfz. 232. 6 Rad
Italeri 1/72 Sd.Kfz. 232 (6-Rad) is a model of an early German armored reconnaissance vehicle that was deployed in the 1930s and early WWII. The six-wheeled variant with a frame-mounted radio antenna was used primarily by the Wehrmacht's motorized and light divisions. The kit offers precise shapes, fine surface details and an authentic representation of this characteristic pre-war design.
The Sd.Kfz. 232 (6-Rad) was one of the first mass-produced armoured cars of the German army in the period before World War II. The six-wheeled, 6×4-drive design was based on civilian truck chassis and served primarily with Wehrmacht reconnaissance units. The vehicle was equipped with a swivel turret with a 20 mm cannon and MG 13 or MG 34 machine gun, while a distinctive frame antenna marked the radio version intended for command and communications tasks. Although the six-round series was gradually replaced by the more advanced eight-round Sd.Kfz. 231 and 232 (8-Rad) types, it played an important role during the initial operations in Poland and France.
The Italeri 1/72 kit captures the typical proportions of the 6-Rad version with its distinctive antenna, detailed surface textures and realistically modelled turret and undercarriage. The parts are cleanly crafted and allow a faithful miniature of one of the key pre-war armoured cars of the German Army to be assembled. The model is suitable for both dioramates from the early phase of the war and collectors of Wehrmacht armoured vehicles.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
