IBG 1/72 Italian Autocannone 3Ro and Ammo Carrier Truck (2 in 1) is a 1/72 scale plastic kit that offers the possibility to build either the Italian Autocannone 3Ro artillery truck or its variant as an ammo truck. The Type 3Ro was one of the most widely used Italian trucks of World War II.It was used both for transporting supplies and in improvised modifications with anti-aircraft or anti-tank guns. The kit allows you to create a realistic model with authentic details and offers an interesting choice for expanding your collection of Italian vehicles.
The Fiat 3Ro truck was produced from 1938 and became the backbone of Italian logistics units during World War II. Its robust construction, ease of maintenance and ample carrying capacity made it a versatile vehicle that was deployed on all fronts - from North Africa to the Balkans.
In addition to the standard versions for transporting material, a number of field modifications have been developed. One of them was the so-called Autocannone - mounting artillery armament directly on the loading surface. The 3Ro chassis featured 90 mm anti-aircraft guns and lighter weapons, making the truck an improvised but effective fighting vehicle. Ammunition versions served in parallel to supply artillery and anti-aircraft units. The combination of firepower and support functions made the 3Ro vehicles an important part of the Italian Army.
The 1/72 scale IBG kit provides a 2-in-1 model that allows the construction of either an Autocannone variant with artillery armament or an ammunition wagon. It features finely detailed cab, hull and chassis and authentic parts matching the Italian 3Ro versions. The model is ideal for stand-alone displays and dioramas depicting combat in North Africa or on the Mediterranean battlefield.
