1/72 Fiat G.50bis "Freccia " Italian services" - KPH7211 Kovozávody
Fiat G.50bis "Freccia" Italian Services in 1/72 scale is a kit of Italian WWII fighter aircraft, deployed mainly in the Mediterranean and Balkan theatre, from Kovozávod Prostějov. The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Fiat G.50bis Freccia was a modernized version of the Italian Air Force's first all-metal single-seat fighter aircraft, originally designed in the late 1930s by Fiat. The G.50 was deployed in the early stages of World War II, including the Battle of France, the campaign in Greece, North Africa and the defence of the Apennine Peninsula.
The G.50bis version was an improvement on the original type, particularly with increased range, additional tanks and improved armament. The aircraft was powered by a Fiat A.74 RC38 engine, reached a speed of over 470 km/h and was armed with two 12.7 mm machine guns. Although it was a powerful and agile machine, the times demanded more modern designs with more powerful engines and heavier armament. Nevertheless, the G.50 retained its place in the Regia Aeronautica units until 1943.
The KPH7211 kit from Kovozávod Prostějov offers an accurate model of this lesser known but important Italian fighter in the version used by the Italian Air Force. The 1/72 scale is ideal for creating an authentic model with a choice of several camouflage schemes representing the aircraft's time in the service of Regia Aeronautica.
The model features finely crafted plastic parts with negative engraving, a cleanly executed cockpit and high quality decals that allow the machine to be built in versions deployed in various regions of the Mediterranean and Balkans.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
