1/72 Canberra B (I) Mk.12
Kovozávody Prostějov KPV7203 brings "vintage" cover of classic Novo/Frog kit of British jet bomber and attack version English Electric Canberra B(I) Mk.8/12/88 in 1:72 scale. It offers an impressive large model with three decal variants, ideal for collectors of vintage kits.
The English Electric Canberra entered service with the RAF in the early 1950s as one of the West's first operational jet bombers. Powerful Rolls-Royce Avon engines, light weight, excellent climb performance and the ability to operate in highhigh altitudes allowed it to outrun contemporary fighter aircraft and evade interception.
The Canberra broke several world records during its career and became an export success - it served in many countries around the world and was licensed in the USA as the Martin B-57.
The B(I) Mk.8/12/88 versions are attack and specialist variants used for tactical strikes, reconnaissance and low-level operations. The distinguishing features of these modifications were a modified nose, the ability to carry missiles and bombs, and equipment for precision strike missions during the Cold War period.
