1/72 Bucker Bu 181 "Bestmann"

The Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann was developed in the late 1930s as a modern trainer for the Luftwaffe. It was launched in 1939 and quickly became one of the most widely used training machines of the German Air Force thanks to its simple design, reliability and excellent flight characteristics. It was used for basic and advanced pilot training and prepared thousands of pilots who were subsequently deployed to the front.

In addition to its training role, the Bestmann was also used as a liaison, courier and light transport aircraft. Some machines were also deployed for emergency combat purposes at the end of the war - for example, in suicide attacks on Soviet armoured troops in 1945. The Bestmann was produced not only in Germany, but also under license in Sweden, Egypt and Czechoslovakia, where after the war machines were built under the designation Zlin Z-181 and Z-381.

The 1/72 scale KPM kit offers a detailed version of this versatile training and communicationsaircraft that made history both for its role in the Luftwaffe and its long post-war career in foreign air forces.

The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
