1/48 Lysander Wing Slats - Outer Sections for Airfix kit

The Westland Lysander was one of the distinctive British aircraft of World War II, designed primarily for cooperation with ground forces, reconnaissance and liaison missions. Its ability to operate from short and improvised areas made it an ideal machine for special missions, including covert SOE (Special Operations Executive) operations, dropping off and picking up agents in occupied Europe. The Lysander's armament typically included Browning .303 machine guns, which could be mounted in a variety of configurations - either as fixed armament in the wings or as a moveable observer/shooter weapon in the rear of the cabin.

After installation, parts can be painted with standard model paints; the use of a primer is recommended for better paint adhesion. The detailed design of the machine guns allows for realistic highlighting using wash techniques, dry brush or pigments to achieve the effect of wear, oil stains or metallic sheen.
