1/48 Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIA Trop (HASEGAWA)
Hobby 2000 1/48 Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIa Trop represents British WWII fighter aircraft in version designed for tropical conditions. This variant was deployed mainly in North Africa and the Middle East. The kit includes Hasegawa plastic parts and decals for an authentic finish. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Hawker Hurricane Mk.IIa was an improved version of the original Mk.I, equipped with a more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin XX engine and the ability to carry a wider range of armament. The tropical variant of the Mk.IIa Trop was fitted with a Vokes sand filter to protect the engine from dust and grit, allowing it to be deployed in the hot and dusty conditions of North Africa, Egypt, Malta and other areas. This version performed fighter, escort and support roles, often in the harsh conditions of the desert battlefield.
The 1/48th scale Hobby 2000 kit uses Hasegawa's precision detailed plastic parts with fine surface engraving. Includes decals for authentic RAF markings in tropical deployment and details to match the Trop version. This model is intended for modelers with an interest in RAF aircraft and the Mediterranean or African battlefields of WWII.
