1/48 Avia S-199 ERLA canopy- Hybrid edition

The Avia S-199 was the Czechoslovak post-war successor to the famous Messerschmitt Bf 109G. It was built after the end of World War II by assembling leftover German parts and was equipped with a different engine - the Jumo 211F - which originally powered the Junkers Ju 87 Stuka bombers. This engine, together with the VS 11 propeller, greatly influenced the flight characteristics of the machine, which was nicknamed "The Mule" among pilots. Nevertheless, it became an important transitional type used in the early days of the Czechoslovak Air Force, and several were later sold to Israel, where they took part in the fighting during the 1948 War of Independence.

The Eduard 1/48 Avia S-199 Erla Hybrid kit is a combination of two technologies - classic injection moulded plastic and 3D printing - which achieves exceptional accuracy and simplicity of construction. The plastic parts cover the main structural parts of the fuselage and wings, while the 3D silent3D printed components cover the cockpit, landing gear shafts, exhausts, gun barrels and other small details. The kit also includes masks, decals for six camouflage schemes and resin accessories for maximum realism.
