The battleship SMS Szent István was a dreadnought of the Austro-Hungarian Imperial Navy and the fourth unit of the Tegetthoff class. She was built during World War I and entered service at the end of 1915. Her armament consisted of six 305 mm guns in four triple turrets, together with a rich secondary armament and anti-aircraft guns. The ship operated mainly in the Adriatic Sea and during one of the actions in June 1918 she was ambushed by torpedo boats and subsequently sunk, becoming one of the iconic vessels of the Austro-Hungarian fleet.
