1/35 StuH 42 Ausf.G Early Production With Full Interior

The Sturmhaubitz 42 (StuH 42) was based on the proven StuG III assault gun chassis, which was one of the German army's most produced armoured vehicles during World War II. The need for effective infantry support led to the installation of the 105mm leFH 18 howitzer in a modified vehicle body, thus creating the StuH 42 type. An early production series appeared in 1942 and was deployed primarily on the Eastern Front, where it could effectively destroy fortified positions and provide direct fire support.

The Ausf.G version was the most widely used variant, differing from the previous series by its reinforced armour and a number of design modifications. Early production machines were equipped with a standard short-barreled howitzer and initially lacked some of the later improvements, such as additional armour or remote-controlled guns.
