The 1/35th scale model of the SLA APC T-54 with ploughshare represents an armoured vehicle rebuilt by the South Lebanon forces. The kit includes a fully rendered interior, a working plow and a wealth of accessories for a realistic representation of the heavily modified fighting vehicle. This model depicts an unusual conversion of the T-54 tank as used by the South Lebanon Army (SLA) during the Lebanese Civil War and the Israeli-Lebanese border conflicts. The original Soviet battle tank became an armoured personnel carrier (APC) with the turret removed and a new infantry fighting compartment. The plow-equipped version was used not only to support combat operations, but also to clear barricades and build defensive positions.
The kit offers a detailed model including a complete interior of the engine compartment, driver's station and cargo area for the landing craft. Also included is a realistic front plow and a host of accessories such as crates, weapons and tools. The high level of internal and external detail makes this model ideal for an open presentation or diorama of the Middle East.
