1/35 Merkava Mk.2 w/ Full Interior & Workable Tracks

The Merkava represents a uniquely Israeli approach to the development of main battle tanks. Its design, begun in the 1970s, is a unique approach to the development of the Merkava. It was designed in the early 1970s with maximum emphasis on crew protection - the engine was placed in the front to increase safety, and a compartment was created in the rear for transporting airborne troops or wounded. The first version of the Merkava Mk.1 was introduced into service in 1979 and quickly gained a reputation for durability and reliability.

The Merkava Mk.2, which appeared in 1983, brought a number of improvements. The tank received enhanced ballistic protection, new blocks of reactive armour, an improved fire control system and improved equipment for urban combat. The Mk.2 became a key machine for the Israeli army during the Lebanon conflicts, where it proved its durability and effective armament in the form of the 105mm gun.
