1/35 Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 2

The Raketenjagdpanzer Jaguar 2 was created in the 1970s by modernizing older German Kanonenjagdpanzer guns, which were originally armed with a fixed gun. As part of the development of the Bundeswehr's anti-tank capabilities, the gun was dismantled and the vehicle received a new launcher systemm for the Franco-German HOT laser-guided missile, enabling the destruction of tanks at ranges of up to several kilometres. The conversion also included modifications to the armour, upgraded observation and targeting equipment and the addition of electronics, making the Jaguar 2 a modern and highly effective anti-tank weapon.

The Jaguar 2 vehicles served in the Bundeswehr from the mid-1970s until the 1990s and formed an important part of the anti-tank units in NATO's defence against a potential threat from the Warsaw Pact. Its low profile, good mobility and effective armament made it an important element of the West German Army's defence strategy during the Cold War.

Das Werk's 1/35 scale kit offers highly detailed hull, HOT launcher, observation and targeting instruments and external equipment. Precise surface details, realistic proportions and carefully sculpted interior elements in the openhatches allow for a faithful replica of one of the most characteristic European anti-tank vehicles of the Cold War. The model is suitable for both stand-alone display and as part of dioramas with NATO equipment from this period.
