1/32 Messerschmitt P.1101
Das Werk 1/32 Messerschmitt P.1101 is a model of an experimental German fighter from the end of World War II, which featured an adjustable wingspan. The project did not enter combat, but became the basis for later development in the USA. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Messerschmitt P.1101 was a German experimental jet fighter aircraft developed in the final stages of World War II. Its unique design allowed the wing's arrow angle to be changed while still on the ground, making it a forerunner of the variable geometry concept. The first prototype was completed in the spring of 1945, but failed to take off before the end of the war. After the surrender of Germany, the aircraft fell into American hands and its design directly influenced the development of the famous Bell X-5, the first aircraft with variable wing angle in flight.
Project P.1101 is a typical example of the German quest for technological superiority through advanced jet machines. Although it never entered service, its influence on post-war aviation was clear.
The 1/32 scale Das Werk kit offers a detailed rendition of this unique Luftwaffe project. The model features finely engraved surfaces, realistic shapes and allows you to build the aircraft as it might have looked had it gone into production. It is an ideal choice for modelers interested in experimental machines and so-called Luft '46 projects.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
