1/32 Kawasaki Ki45 Kou Hei Toryu
Zoukei-Mura 1/32 Kawasaki Ki-45 "Toryu" (Ko / Hei) is a highly detailed plastic kit of a Japanese WWII era heavy fighter two-seater. The kit features two shortened "short-nose" variants (Ko with a pair of 12.7mm Ho-103 and Hei with a 37mm Ho-203 cannon), new new molds for the different parts and faithful execution of the armament, including installations in the nose, rear seat and substructure.
The Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu (Dragon Slayer) was one of the most important Japanese two-seat fighter designs of the late war. Zoukei-Mura's new 1/32 series faithfully captures two distinct short-bodied versions - the Ko and Hei - which differed not only in nose cone shape, but more importantly in armament: The Ko variant is equipped with a pair of 12.7mm Ho-103 machine guns for fast aerial engagements, while the Hei variant carries a powerful 37mm Ho-203 gun in the nose for fighting heavier targets.
This edition brings nine major changes over the first TEi version, and entirely new molds were made for all the modified parts - no detail was left out. The model includes completely re-created weapon mounts and assemblies: the nose installations, rear seat lafetation and underbody hinges are reproduced with the utmost fidelity. The parts faithfully depict the different nose cones and internal structures required for the different weapons, so that builders can assemble both historically based configurations.
The kit offers a high level of surface finish, detailed cockpit, accurate proportions, and thoughtful engineering for easy and precise fitting of parts. Featuring new molds and a wealth of armament, this model is for collectors and modelers looking for a high-end 1/32 representation of a unique Japanese fighter.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
