1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-6 Eastern Front

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the Luftwaffe's most successful fighter aircraft and proved its worth on all fronts during World War II. The Fw 190 A-6 variant was introduced in 1943 and represented an evolutionary improvement on the previous A-5 version. In addition to a displaced engine to improve the aircraft's balance, it also brought modifications to the armament, notably new installation of wing weapons that allowed more effective combat against both fighter and bomber targets. On the Eastern Front, the Fw 190 A-6 was used as a fighter, escort and fighter-bomber, where its robust design, powerful BMW 801 engine and powerful armament gave pilots a vital advantage in combat against Soviet aircraft.
