1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5/A-6 Nachtjager
Hobby 2000 1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5/A-6 Nachtjäger is a 1/32 scale kit of the night fighter variant of the famous German WWII aircraft. The model uses high quality Hasegawa molds and is complete with high-end Cartograf decals and masks for a more accurate paint job. The night versions of the Fw 190 A-5/A-6 have been modified for dark combat by installing radar equipment and special features for night operations, creating one of the most interesting and least common variants of this machine.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the most important fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe and its various modifications served on all fronts of World War II. In addition to the standard day fighter versions, specialised night fighter variants were also developed to complement and lighten the load of twin-engined machines such as the Bf 110 G-4 or Ju 88 G. The Fw 190 A-5 and A-6 models in night configuration were equipped with night-flying instrumentation, flare throwers and, on selected examples, simple FuG radar equipment. They were primarily used for Allied bomber raids and defensive operations over German territory during 1943 and 1944.
The 1/32 scale Hobby 2000 kit is based on the proven Hasegawa moulds and features a finely detailed fuselage surface, detailed cockpit, undercarriage shafts and distinctive night equipment. Included are high quality Cartograf decals with sharp printing and correct tints as well as masks for more convenient painting of the cockpit and other transparent parts. Thanks to the large scale, the model allows to faithfully reproduce the specific details of the night version of the Fw 190, including armament and additional equipment.
