1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5
Hobby 2000 1/32 Focke-Wulf Fw 190 A-5 is a 1/32 scale kit of the legendary German WWII fighter aircraft. The model is based on high quality Hasegawa moulds and is complete with top quality Cartograf decals and masks for a more comfortable paint job. The A-5 version represented an improved evolutionary stage of the Fw 190 series with a displaced engine and optimized center of gravity, which improved armament load capacity and combat capability.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the most effective fighter aircraft of the Luftwaffe during World War II. Designed by Kurt Tank and first deployed in 1941, it quickly gained the respect of pilots and adversaries alike thanks to its powerful BMW 801 radial engine, powerful armament and high endurance. The Fw 190 A-5 variant, introduced in 1943, featured a 15 cm forward engine displacement, which allowed for better weight distribution and increased payload capacity for additional weapons and equipment. This type served as an all-round fighter as well as a fighter-bomber platform, deployed on both the Eastern and Western fronts as well as in the defence of the Reich.
The 1/32 scale Hobby 2000 kit uses Hasegawa's proven molds and offers precise surface detail, realistic construction features and excellent part fit. Included is a set of masks to make painting the cab easier and high quality Cartograf decals to ensure crisp printing and true-to-life colours. The large scale of the model allows for detailed detailing of individual parts such as the cockpit, undercarriage and armament. This kit is an ideal choice for modellers with an interest in German fighter aircraft and offers a great basis for creating an authentic Fw 190 A-5 model.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
