1/16 Sd.Kfz. 250/1 Ausf. A

Sd.Kfz. 250/1 Ausf. A was a German light armoured half-track troop carrier developed in the 1930s as part of German mechanised warfare tactics. This machine was designed to provide mobile support to infantry and reconnaissance units, to allow rapid transport of troops to combat zones, and to provide protection against shrapnel and light weapons. Compared to the larger Sd.Kfz. 251, the Sd.Kfz. 250 was smaller and more maneuverable, making it suitable for reconnaissance tasks and operations in urban or heavy terrain.

The Ausf. A was the first production variant of this machine, which featured a characteristic chamfered armoured design with an open fighting area.
