Warhammer 40,000: Siege Assault Battle Group

Warhammer 40,000: Siege Assault Battle Group is a thematic battle group focused on siege operations within the conflict known as Horus Heresy, a galaxy-tearing civil war between the loyal and treacherous legions of Space Marines in 31. Millennium. The siege of fortified positions, planetary fortresses and space stations was one of the bloodiestand required specialized units capable of breaching even the toughest defenses. This kit combines heavy firepower, armoured infantry and elite assault units into a functional unit that reflects the tactics used during the most intense battles of the Horus Heresy era.

At the core of the lineup is the Leviathan Siege Dreadnought, a massive fighting machine designed to destroy fortifications and heavy targets. Unlike standard dreadnoughts, it has a more robust design and armament designed for direct attack - each of its mechanical fists can be assembled as a siege claw or siege drill, both with a built-in meltagun for melting armor and barriers. The hull can hold a pair of auxiliary weapons - heavy flamer for burning fortified positions or twin-linked volkite calvers for destroying infantry. Optionally, a phosphex discharger can be added, a weapon using one of the most feared substances of the Horus Heresy era. The kit allows for individual posing of the fingers of the mechanical hands and a selection of different armor plates to personalize the look.

The MKIII Breacher Squad forms a specialized assault infantry equipped with reinforced armor and shields to advance in the most dangerousmost dangerous siege zones - narrow corridors, breaches in walls and under direct enemy fire. One soldier can be built as a Breacher Sergeant with two head variants (with or without helmet) and an optional Breacher Charge. The squad can be supplemented with specialists: Soldier with lascutter (cutting tool for opening armored doors), graviton gun (gravity weapon for slowing down the enemy), nuncio-vox (communication device) and vexilla (battle battalion).

Two units of Cataphractii Terminators represent the elite assault force in the heaviest variant of Terminator armor used during the Horus Heresy. The first unit is armed with volkite chargers and power mauls, the second with combi-bolters and power fists. Each unit can include a Cataphractii Terminator Sergeant with a choice of power sword, power axe or thunder hammer. The kit offers two types of shoulder plates and matching tasset plates for each Terminator, plus optional tilting plates. Armament can be expanded to include a heavy flamer, chainfist or reaper autocannon depending on the unit's tactical role.

The pack includes an extensive set of transfer decals: 3× Legion Infantry Transfer Sheet (each with 618 motifs) and 1× Legiones Astartes Dreadnought Transfer Sheet (528 motifs). The decals cover the symbols for the Iron Warriors (a treacherous legion specializing in siegeSiege and Fortress Warfare), Sons of Horus (Warmaster Horus' treacherous elite legion), Salamanders (loyal masters of craftsmanship and flame weapons) and Imperial Fists (loyal defenders of theFortress Builders), complete with numerals, honorifics, generic markers, text and command icons. This allows you to choose whether to build a treacherous siege force serving Chaos (Iron Warriors or Sons of Horus) or a loyal strike force defending the Empire (Imperial Fists or Salamanders). This flexibility allows you to tailor a group to a specific Legion or create a mixed force to suit your own story.

The kit consists of 745 plastic parts and includes 12× Citadel 40mm Round Bases, 10× Citadel 32mm Round Bases and 1× Citadel 80mm Round Base. The miniature models require gluing and come unpainted. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
