Information about the original:
The McLaren MP4/2 was one of the most successful race cars, having secured the most victories in Formula 1 history. In 1985, the MP4/2B model made its debut, equipped with a TAG Porsche engine that was enhanced with two turbochargers, enabling it to produce 850 koní. It was also characterized by an aerodynamic design that complied with new regulations and was less conspicuous than that of its predecessors. The technical and design excellence of the project was confirmed by victories in both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ World Championships, to which the extraordinary talent of driver Alain Prost contributed equally. In 1986, this exceptional car was further improved with the introduction of the MP4/2C version, and Alain Prost once again confirmed his status as world champion. That season, he was joined by another great Formula 1 talent, the Finn Keke Rosberg. The McLaren MP4/2 holds a special place in the hearts of Formula 1 enthusiasts and fans simply because it won three Drivers’ Championship titles and two Constructors’ Championship titles.
