1/72 Spitfire Mk.I Early cockpit structure insert
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I became the first mass-produced type of this legendary British fighter and formed the backbone of the RAF since its introduction in 1938. During the Battle of Britain in 1940, early Spitfires played a vital role in the defence of Great Britain against the Luftwaffe. However, modifications were gradually made to their design to increase the protection of the pilot, the layout of the controls and the overall durability of the aircraft.
The 1/72nd scale IBG add-on kit focuses on faithfully reproducing the cockpit design of the early Mk.I Spitfires. It features finely executed details of the internal structure, bulkheads and frames that greatly enhance the authenticity over the standard parts of conventional kits. It allows modellers to create a realistic interior that matches the look of the machines deployed in the early years of the war. This accessory is suitable for both stand-alone Spitfire builds and dioramas dedicated to the early days of World War II.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
