1/72 Hampden Mk.I

The Handley Page Hampden Mk.I was one of a trio of modern British bombers introduced in the late 1930s, designed to bolster the RAF's strike capabilities during a period of growing international crisis. Its slender fuselage and unusual crew configuration earned it the nickname "Flying Tadpole". It entered operational service in 1938 and played a significant role in the first air strikes against Germany, including theflights on ports, mining waterways and attacks on strategic targets in the early stages of the war. Although it was later replaced by more powerful types, it has gone down in history as a key machine in the early phase of the RAF's air offensive.

The Prostějov 1/72 scale kit offers an accurate representation of the Mk.I with its characteristic narrow fuselage, distinctive glazing and typical configuration of the cockpit and gunports. Fine surface paneling, quality mouldings and well-crafted details of the wings, undercarriage and nose allow to create a faithful miniature of this early British bomber. The model is suitable for both stand-alone presentation and as part of dioramas with the theme of the early years of World War II.

The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
