The McDonnell Douglas F-4EJ Kai was an upgraded version of the American F-4 Phantom II multi-role fighter aircraft, produced under license by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries for the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF). The upgrade program, designated "Kai" (improved), brought a new AN/APG-66J radar, advanced avionics systems, upgraded electronics and the ability to use precision-guided munitions. The F-4EJ Kai fighters served until 2020 and became a symbol of Japanese air defense during the second half of the 20th century.

The "Go for it!! 301sq" special edition features the commemorative livery of the last 301 Squadron machines that ended the Phantom era in Japan. The aircraft in this distinctive scheme with the frog emblem - the traditional symbol of the unit - were also displayed at airshows and gained huge popularity among aviation fans.

The 1/48 scale Zoukei Mura kit from the "Super Wing Series" offers a detailed rendering of the of the F-4EJ Kai's design with an accurately reproduced cockpit, General Electric J79 engines, weapons systems and equipment specific to the Japanese Phantoms. Featuring fine engraving, realistic proportions and authentic decals, this kit is the ideal choice for any modeler looking to capture the end of service of the legendary Phantom in JASDF colors.
