This 1:35 scale plastic model kit offers detailed models of the Wehrmacht Maultiers, half-track vehicles that were pivotal in ensuring the mobility and logistics of German forces during World War II, especially under the challenging conditions of the Eastern Front. Following the deteriorating conditions in autumn 1941, several trucks were converted into half-track vehicles as part of the 'Maultier' (Mule) program, significantly improving their terrain navigability. The kit features models based on three-ton trucks, specifically the KHD S3000/SS M by Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz and the Ford V3000S/SS M by Ford. Maultiers were versatile, used for transporting personnel and materials off-road, towing guns, and some were equipped with anti-aircraft guns or modified as field ambulances. From 1943, Maultiers started to be equipped with simplified cabs ('Einheitsfahrerhaus') to streamline production. This model is a great addition to any WWII model collection and allows modelers to explore the unique aspects of German logistical operations.
